Shared Routes
Enjoy a curated trip that allows you to become part of life in rural Panama. Mandela's team will work with your group to create a multi-day trip to Panamá where you will be welcomed into rural communities like family, because of the Mandela staff's deep connections with the farmers and their communities. Together we decide when, for how long and what activities you want to experience, whether it's helping make sugar, learning how Panama's iconic hats are made, volunteering to help plant tree seedling or many other options.
For larger trips, we partner with our friends at Vámonos Tours to ensure the easiest, safest travel experience from start to finish.
If you're already in Panama, we can plan a day trip for you to visit farms in the Mandela network and enjoy any of the activities offered to our multi-day guests.
Food
Harvest some of the dozens of crops growing on Mandela farms and see how they're processed and made into local foods you can enjoy with the families who grew them
Flora & Fauna
On the Mandela farms and in nearby nature reserves are an abundance of mammals, birds, butterflies, orchids, other flowers and more.
