What We Do
Mandela promotes agroecological transitions through a package of integrated agroecological services. The establishment of efficient routes allows Mandela's agroecological advisors to regularly visit our farming communities, providing support from all four programs at once. This multi-value logistical circuit enables each trip to generate stratified returns in the financial, environmental, and social realms.
Shared Knowledge (technical assistance)
The purpose of our technical assistance is to ensure that each participating producer receives consistent, ethical, and results-oriented technical support, in accordance with agroecological principles and the organization's shared income model objectives. All shared techniques strengthen rural livelihoods, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
Shared Market (digital farmers market)
Producers can sell a variety of crops through our digital market with transparent prices, fair contracts, and aggregated logistics. Only what has already been sold is harvested, and Mandela transports it directly to the buyer. The producer receives a percentage of the fair price based on their level of adoption of agroecological practices and product quality.
Shared Resources (agroecological inputs)
This program aims to strengthen agroecological production by providing seeds, inputs, and tools that improve the productive conditions of farms, promoting sustainable and profitable practices. Additionally, it facilitates access to these resources through flexible payment options.
Shared Routes (agrotourism)
Our agritourism program facilitates visits to the farms in our network to offer an educational, safe, and authentic experience that clearly communicates the principles of agroecology, directly benefits rural families, and strengthens Mandela's social and environmental mission.
