What We Do
Mandela drives agroecological transitions through an integrated package of agricultural services: technical assistance, a digital marketplace for producers, access to bio-inputs and appropriate technologies, and agritourism opportunities that diversify income. Our revenue-sharing model rewards the adoption of agroecological practices in order to strengthen rural livelihoods, ecosystem services, and climate resilience. The establishment of efficient travel routes enables Mandela’s agroecological advisors to visit our farming communities on a regular basis. During these field visits, advisors deliver the orders that farms must prepare for digital marketplace customers, collect prepared orders for distribution to buyers, provide technical assistance, deliver supplies, and assist with the planning and hosting of tour groups. This multi-value logistical circuit ensures that every trip generates layered returns—financially, environmentally, and socially.
Conocimiento Compartido
The purpose of our technical assistance is to ensure that each participating farmer receives consistent, ethical, and results-oriented technical support, in accordance with agroecological principles and the objectives of the organization's shared income model.
Mercado Compartido
Producers can sell a variety of crops through our digital marketplace with transparent prices, fair contracts, and aggregated logistics. Only what has already been sold is harvested and transported directly to the buyer.
Recursos Compartidos
This program aims to strengthen agroecological production by providing seeds, inputs, and tools that improve the productive conditions of farms, promoting sustainable and profitable practices. Additionally, it facilitates access to these resources through flexible payment options.
Rutas Compartidas
Our agritourism program facilitates visits to the farms in our network to offer an educational, safe, and authentic experience that clearly communicates the principles of agroecology, directly benefits rural families, and strengthens Mandela's social and environmental mission.
