Who We Are

Mandela was born from the conviction that the Panamanian countryside has everything it needs to thrive — what is lacking are better connections: between farmers and consumers, between ancestral practices and modern tools, between caring for the land and the livelihoods of the families who work it. We are a social enterprise that supports rural communities in the agroecological transition, integrating technical assistance, bioinputs, a digital market, and agritourism experiences into a single model that shares its fruits with those who take the greatest risks: the farmers. When you buy in our market, visit a farm, or support our mission, you become part of that fabric.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to cultivate connections that nourish people and the planet through agroecology.

Mandela aims to be the reference model for agroecological transition — demonstrating that it's possible to build profitable rural enterprises that strengthen farmers' livelihoods, restore ecosystems, and address climate change, while generating shared value for all.

Our Values

At Mandela, we believe that rural prosperity and the health of the planet go hand in hand. We are guided by a deep commitment to agroecology, economic equity for farmers, transparency, and collaborative work — values that are reflected in every service we offer and in the shared income model that drives our mission.

Our Team

The founding staff of Mandela consists of five individuals who combine decades of practical experience in agroecological extension with business and administrative expertise. They are supported by a specialized advisor, a legal firm, and an accounting firm — united by the commitment to build a viable company that works for producers and the land.
